My watch told me when I was awake at 6.15am answering the call of nature with a dog recovering from surgery, I’d managed a whopping three hours and fifteen minutes sleep. Still, we’ve done the morning taxi run, and a 45-minute HIIT session. No wonder that cuppa and cheese and bacon turnover I’ve just inhaled tasted so good.
However, it is increasingly unlikely anything else of value is being managed until I’ve had a kip. There is only one thing I wanted to share this morning (which is already done) which will go up later today to coincide with early morning in the US. It’s a project I promised myself I’d start last year, and was ahead of the plan until my husband got his Cancer diagnosis. So now, we will start again.
It’s a poetry project with lyric elements, some narrative non-fiction plus fiction thrown in. Video will make an appearance. We will have audio. For now though, we are at the beginning, and so to not clog up this space with the details, it has its own space:
I’m planning a post a week until September, when we’ll ramp it up a bit to then coincide with World of Warcraft’s 20th Anniversary in November. As poetry is not as mainstream as video games, I’m not quite sure how this will be received either, but it’s a passion project that, to be honest, Substack is absolutely ideal for. First post will be 5pm UK time today, then we’ll move to a regular Friday spot, also at 5pm BST.
Thank you for considering following another one of my Substacks :D
